Gerard Lee L. See, Ph.D., adalah seorang akademisi dan ilmuwan farmasi yang telah mengukir perjalanan inspiratif dari bangku kuliah hingga puncak kepemimpinan akademik. Ia menyelesaikan seluruh pendidikan tingginya di University of San Carlos dengan predikat Magna Cum Laude dan gelar Valedictorian, sebelum melanjutkan studi doktoral di Josai University, Jepang, yang menjadi fondasi kuat bagi karier penelitiannya.
Karier akademiknya di University of San Carlos dimulai sebagai peneliti dan dosen pada tahun 2011. Dedikasi dan kompetensinya membawanya menduduki berbagai peran strategis, termasuk Koordinator Program Pasca Sarjana dan Ketua Komite Penelitian, sebelum akhirnya dipercaya menjadi Dekan School of Health Care Professions pada tahun 2021. Di pundaknya, ia memikul tanggung jawab untuk membina pendidikan calon profesional kesehatan dan memastikan kualitas penelitian di sekolah tersebut.
Passion terbesarnya terletak pada dunia penelitian. Fokusnya yang mendalam pada penghantaran obat inovatif melalui kulit dan mata telah menghasilkan puluhan publikasi ilmiah di jurnal internasional bereputasi. Karyanya mengenai liquid crystal formulations dan eyelid skin as a drug delivery route mendapatkan apresiasi luas, termasuk penghargaan Best Oral Presentation dari International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). Kepakaran ini juga mengantarnya menjadi Post-Doctoral Fellow di Josai University.
Di tingkat nasional, kontribusinya diakui melalui berbagai penghargaan bergengsi, seperti Outstanding Professional of the Year 2023 dari Professional Regulation Commission dan The Outstanding Pharmacists in Research 2020. Ia aktif membawa pengaruh dengan menjadi Anggota Tim Penjaminan Mutu CHED Regional VII, Akreditor PAASCU, dan Wakil Presiden untuk Visayas di Philippine Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
Melalui kombinasi kepemimpinan akademik yang visioner, penelitian yang berdampak, dan komitmen pada pengembangan profesi farmasi, Dr. Gerard Lee L. See tidak hanya menjadi teladan di kampusnya, tetapi juga seorang pemikir yang membantu mengarahkan masa depan pendidikan kesehatan dan inovasi farmasi di Filipina.
