Covid-19 UIN Jakarta task force will continue to educate the public
Rectorate, UIN News Online – The Covid 19 task force of UIN Jakarta will continue to educate the public in mitigating the risk of Covid 19 Virus outbreak. This is done in order to minimize the spread of Covid 19, which has become a global pandemic, including Indonesia.
This was said by the Covid-19 UIN Jakarta task force secretary Zilhadia to UIN News Online on Saturday (04/11/2020). According to Zilhadia, public education is part of the responsibility of the Covid-19 UIN Jakarta Task Force in minimizing the distribution of viruses that were first discovered in Wuhan, China.
“Previously, we produced the 'Shihah' hand sanitizer which was distributed in the campus and community environment, now through the Faculty of Health Sciences, we are making a mitigation program by educating the public,” said Zilhadia.
For the educational products, she continued, it will be made in the form of posters and booklets that contain Covid-19 profiles and its preventive measures. Until this weekend, for example, the team has created a 13-page booklet, "Covid-19 Educational Materials".
“These educational products will later be delivered online and offline. Online products will be distributed via internet connected media, while offline is done by printing posters and distributing them in a public environment,” she said.
Public education on the risk of the Covid 19 pandemic itself is one of the UIN Jakarta programs delegated to the Covid-19 Task Force team formed last March. In addition to producing 'Shihah' hand sanitizers which are distributed through a number of institutions, the Task Force Team also encourages fundraising for handling the impact of Covid 19 pandemic.
“Hopefully this can educate the public about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle,” she concluded. (usa/zm)
