Covid-19 task force will ensure the food availability for student

Rectorate, UIN News Online – The Covid-19 task force of UIN Jakarta ensures their food availability for students. Public support in various forms of donations that greatly help students in providing food will be distributed as well as possible.

This was said by the task force chairman Hari Hendarto to UIN News Online on Saturday (04/11/2020). According to Hari, the UIN Jakarta Covid 19 Task Force Team continues to work in anticipating the distribution of the Corona virus as well as its impact on the UIN Jakarta environment.

One of them is through the collaborative program with the Social Trust Fund (STF) of UIN Jakarta, by collecting the student data using google form. The data captures information detailed about students in the form of their identities, their health condition, and the assistance they need.

Since opening, the Google form has received quite a number of responses from students around the campus. The number of students who filled the form increased from 615 on March 29, to 1,066 on April 5. In addition to Googleform data, the faculty also collected data on students still living in the boarding houses around the campus and in need of assistance. The total number of students being recorded by the Covid19 UIN Jakarta task force and used as a base by STF UIN Jakarta was 1,393.

After analyzing the needs of students, it was found that most of the students needed food assistance. Therefore, the Covid-19 task force and STF UIN Jakarta held a fundraising activity to help the students.

Meanwhile, STF's official report noted that hundreds of donors, both individuals, communities, and corporations entrusted the donation to STF UIN Jakarta. In addition to cash, donations that are deposited by donors also take the form of basic needs.

Director of STF UIN Jakarta Amelia Fauzia expressed her appreciation to all donors who provide their assistance to UIN Jakarta students. All donations will be reported regularly through the institution's page at https://www.stfuinjakarta.org/.  (usa/zm)
