COVID-19, Rector of UIN Jakarta urges the academic community to maintain healthy lifestyle
Rectorate, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis urges the academic community of UIN Jakarta to maintain healthy lifestyle in order to anticipate the spreading of COVID-19 or corona virus disease.
Based on the Rector’s circular letter Number B-944 year 2020 concerning on Early Precautions Regarding Corona Virus-19, to anticipate the COVID-19 outbreak, Rector urged all academic community of UIN Jakarta to take a number of preventative measures.
One of them is by avoiding all non-essential overseas travel due to the global impact of COVID-19. Many areas throughout the world are now experiencing COVID-19 outbreaks such as China, South Korea, Japan, Iran, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Taiwan.
“Those who have returned from the affected areas are required to limit the contacts with other academic community of UIN Jakarta for 14 days after returning to Indonesia. If there are symptoms of fever, cough, runny nose, breathe difficulty and sore throat within 14 days, you should visit the pulmonary poly of the RSSH UIN Jakarta and send the via email to tu.umum@uinjkt.ac.id,” said the letter.
Furthermore, the academic community is also asked to maintain a healthy lifestyle by taking preventive actions to stop the spread of the viruses. In addition, the leadership of the faculties and institutions of UIN Jakarta are encouraged to provide hand washing facilities with soap and hand sanitizers that are in accordance with the World Health Organization (WHO) standards in their respective work areas.
