Covid-19 Fundraising Reaches Rp 80 Million

Rectorate, UIN News Online – In order to overcome the spreading of Covid-19, Covid-19 task force of UIN Jakarta continues to actively raise funds. Based on reports, until Wednesday (04/01/2020), donations collected reached more than Rp. 80 million.

“The funds came from both individual and institutional donations at UIN Jakarta,” said the Head of covid-19 task force of UIN Jakarta Hari Hendarto to UIN News Online, Wednesday (04/01/2020).

According to Hari, fundraising activities are carried out in a limited manner for academic community of UIN Jakarta. However, it is also possible if any of the community members who wish to provide assistance can distribute it to the RPL Account 133 Badan Layanan Umum (BLU) UIN Jakarta through BNI Bank Number 727560831.

Hari said that the funds collected would first be deposited with the Central Ministry of Religion Task Force. The new funds will then be used after they conduct priority needs assessment.

“But clearly, the funds will be used entirely to assist in handling the Covid-19 outbreak on campus,” he said.

At UIN Jakarta, said Hari, the temporary allocation of the budget is to help students' needs, such as food aid. This food aid is specifically for students who are still living in boarding houses and dormitories. In addition to the needs of students, assistance can also be given to other academic community affected by Covid-19.

“In principle, we want to share in the effort to overcome Covid-19. Hopefully this epidemic will end very soon so that all activities on campus can return to normal,” he said. (usa/ns)
