UKM Fair UIN Jakarta Showcases Art, Activism, and Student Talent in Collaborative Performances
Student Center Field, UIN Online News — UKM Fair was once again held with vibrant energy and creativity, featuring a wide range of collaborative performances by various Student Activity Units (UKM) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta on Saturday (September 6, 2025). The event not only showcased artistic entertainment but also included activist speeches and public statements on current social issues.
The event opened with an impressive collaboration between LPM, Teater Syahid, and Riak, presenting a theater play accompanied by live music performances including Hindia – Secukupnya, Nadin Amizah – Bertaut, and Sheila on 7 – Kita, followed by activist speeches from Ciputat and statements addressing current issues of Indonesia.
In addition to drama and music, the new students of UIN Jakarta were treated to various modern and traditional dances. FLAT performed an energetic modern dance, while Formabi KIP showcased the graceful Kembang Kipas dance. Adding a cultural touch, UIN Jakarta Scout presented the traditional Betawi dances: Betawi, Cokek, and Nandak.
HIQMA’s percussion collaboration enlivened the atmosphere with dynamic rhythms, while LDK participated by symbolically raising the LDK flag to encourage a sense of community.
The event also featured close-quarter combat performances from FORSA, including silat, taekwondo, and karate, as well as tarung derajat by MENWA, showcasing strength and discipline. KPA ARKADIA captivated the audience with a banner drop using flying fox, rappelling, and jumaring techniques. Additionally, KSR presented an educational segment on disaster preparedness and evacuation, emphasizing the importance of spatial readiness in emergency situations.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., expressed his hopes for UIN Jakarta’s freshmen to explore and get acquainted with the various activities available on campus.
“I hope students will explore these activities and get to know what UIN Jakarta has to offer—from sports and arts to other talent development programs,” he expressed.
