UIN Jakarta Library Secures 1st Position in ALIA 2025
Jakarta, UIN Online News — The Library of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta achieved national recognition by securing first place at the Academic Library Innovation Award (ALIA) 2025 organized by the Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum (FPPTI) Jakarta on Monday (September 15, 2025).
“This achievement is the result of collective teamwork. As librarians, we are proud to elevate UIN Jakarta's recognition at the national level. We will continue to present innovations that align with the needs of our academic community,” he expressed.
During the competition, UIN Jakarta showcased two flagship innovations, presented by Septian Nurhakim, S.IP., a young librarian at UIN Jakarta, on August 14, 2025.
The first innovation, Short Book Review, is a concise, engaging, and interactive book promotion format designed for live distribution on Instagram. The concept aims to encourage reading interest, broaden access to literacy, and highlight the library’s featured collections.
The second innovation, Touch & Go Mobile Library, is a digital application that provides practical and easy access to reading materials. What sets it apart from traditional catalogues is its emphasis on literacy ethics by ensuring proper credit to original authors, thereby bridging technology with respect for intellectual property rights.
This second innovation is praised for delivering and strengthening inclusive and interactive digital services. It also marks the transformation of university libraries, whose role now extends beyond collection providers to becoming hubs of interaction, education, and innovation.
This achievement reaffirms the UIN Jakarta Library’s commitment to thrive in delivering top-quality library services as the backbone for literacy and knowledge development within the academic community.
