Top Achievers Shine at UIN Jakarta’s 139th Graduation Ceremony
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News—UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially honored its top graduates during the 139th Graduation Ceremony held at the Main Auditorium Building on Saturday (February 7, 2026). Carrying the theme “Digital Society: A Religious, Smart, and Socially Impactful Generation,” the university recognized graduates who achieved the highest academic distinctions and produced outstanding scholarly work across various disciplines.
In this graduation period, UIN Jakarta conferred degrees upon a total of 930 graduates. They came from the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (228 graduates), the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication (120), the Faculty of Economics and Business (118), and the Faculty of Sharia and Law (103). Other graduates represented the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (95), Faculty of Science and Technology (82), Faculty of Ushuluddin (64), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (38), Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah (30), Graduate School (28), Faculty of Psychology (16), and Faculty of Health Sciences (8).
From this total, the Graduate School named Nenny Anggraini as the Best Graduate of the Doctoral Program in Islamic Studies with a GPA of 3.80. Meanwhile, Marifat Kilwakit was awarded Best Graduate of the Master’s Program in Islamic Studies with a GPA of 3.90. Both earned the distinction of cum laude.
At the undergraduate level, several students were recognized as top graduates, including Agnes Putri Afdzilla from the Library Science Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, with a GPA of 3.96 (Cum Laude); Putri Puspitasari from the Sufism Studies Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin, with a GPA of 3.94 (Cum Laude); and Adelia from the Management Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, also with a GPA of 3.94 (Cum Laude).
Additional honors were awarded to Laila Fitri Amalia from the Social Welfare Program, Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, with a GPA of 3.92 (Cum Laude); Ahmad Irvan Maulana from the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah with a GPA of 3.87 (Cum Laude); and Najibah Syalidatun Nahlah from the Public Health Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, with a GPA of 3.63 (Cum Laude).
Beyond academic excellence, UIN Jakarta also recognized high-quality research through the Best Undergraduate Thesis awards. In the Humanities/Islamic Studies category, Rafi Sofyan Tsauri from the Faculty of Ushuluddin received the award for his thesis titled “Understanding Hadiths on Working Women from the Perspective of Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir’s Mubādalah Qirāʿah Theory.”
In the Social Sciences category, the award was given to Mufidah Naila from the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication for her research titled “Education for the Urban Poor in Improving Welfare: A Case Study of the Alternative School for Street Children (SAAJA) in Setiabudi, South Jakarta.”
Meanwhile, in the Natural Sciences category, Najibah Syalidatun Nahlah from the Faculty of Health Sciences received another award for her thesis titled “Determinants of Depression Among Adolescents in Indonesia (Analysis of SKI 2023 Data).”
Representing all graduates, the Best Graduate from the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Rafi Sofyan Tsauri, delivered a farewell address. He emphasized that their achievements were the result of unwavering prayers and unseen sacrifices made by their parents.
“Mom and Dad, today’s graduation also is yours. In every step of our journey, there have always been tireless prayers and love that became the main source of our strength,” he said.
He also reminded his fellow graduates that being alumni of UIN Jakarta carries a strong moral responsibility. The values instilled during their years of study must continue to be upheld and translated into real contributions to religion and the nation. In closing, Rafi quoted a well-known line from Bumi Manusia, a novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer:
“An educated person must act justly, first in thought, and even more so in action. Congratulations on celebrating the success of one phase of our lives. Kudos to all of us,” he concluded.
