Strengthening Collaboration in the World of Health, Fikes UIN Jakarta Holds The 3rd ICHS International Conference on Health Sciences

The Sultan Hotel and Residence, Jakarta, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta's Faculty of Health Sciences held an International Conference on Health Sciences (ICHS) with a discussion on the development of health sciences on Thursday (8/8/2024). This event was held as a follow-up activity to UIN Jakarta's collaborative meeting with Tohoku University on Wednesday (7/8/2024).

The event was opened by the chairperson of ICHS, Fajar Ariyanti, S.K.M., M.Kes., Ph.D., who welcomed this international conference, which aims to continue building collaboration and innovation in the field of health.

"This conference aims to strengthen health professionals through religiosity, collaboration, and innovation for global health resilience," she said.

Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., in her opening remarks thanked the collaborative partners who have contributed to the success of this event and encouraged continued progress in the field of health.

In his remarks, the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., expressed his pride in attending the event. He hopes that this event will foster developments in the field of health and that UIN Jakarta can continue to collaborate with its partners in the future.

"This international conference will enhance collaboration between UIN Jakarta and other universities, including professor exchanges, student exchanges, and other initiatives," explained the Rector of UIN Jakarta.

The event was officially opened by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Saiful Rahmat Basuki, S.I.P, M.Si., who delivered a keynote speech titled "The Importance of Religiosity in Strengthening Health Professionals," accompanied by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., Vice Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A., Fajar Ariyanti, S.K.M., M.Kes., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., in a symbolic opening ceremony.

In his remarks, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony between faith and piety in religion as a means of advancing the field of health.

"I hope UIN Jakarta continues to prioritize faith and piety in the development of the health sector," said Saiful.

The event then continued with the first session, featuring a discussion on "The Role of Health Professionals in Global Health Resilience," moderated by Dewi Utami. The speakers included Dr. Hitoshi Oshitani from Tohoku University, Japan and Watcara Tabootwong from Bhurapa University, Thailand.

Dr. Hitoshi Oshitani explained that collaboration between universities, particularly in the health sector, can significantly impact the advancement of science. He, therefore, warmly welcomed this event.

The second session focused on "Strengthening Health Professionals through Religiosity and Collaboration for Global Health," moderated by Narila Mutia Nasir, S.K.M., M.K.M., Ph.D. The presenters included Prof. Hazniuiza from the University of Malaysia, Dr. Yasuko Nagamatsu from St. Luke's University, Japan, and Febi Dwi Rahmadi, Ph.D., from Griffith University.

Additionally, this international conference served as a discussion forum for invited guests, including both lecturers and students. The participants were very enthusiastic about the event, as the discussions on health sector were considered highly impactful for the global community.
