Press Release: UIN Jakarta Successfully Holds Road to Islamic Digital Transformation 2025

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online UIN Jakarta successfully implemented Road to Islamic Digital Transformation Forum 2025, carrying the theme "Digital Transformation in Higher Education: A Path to Economics Global Competitiveness “ at Harun Nasution Auditorium, Friday (18/10/2024).

Opening with remarks from the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., he emphasized the importance of digital transformation, both in academic and non-academic contexts. The Rector mentioned that as the largest public Islamic university in Indonesia, UIN Jakarta must respond seriously to technological developments.

“Digital transformation is an important part of business and other social life,” Prof. Asep emphasized. He also invited students to improve digital technology literacy in order to be able to compete in the global era.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Indonesia Business Trade Solution, Poppy Zeidra, S.H., M.H., CPS, also enlivened this activity. According to Poppy, digital transformation is key for educational institutions in preparing future generations.

“The willingness to move forward and discipline are our assets as today's generation, which will lead us to success,” said Poppy Zeidra, underlining the importance of determination in facing digital change.

As a concrete manifestation of UIN Jakarta's commitment to strengthen collaboration with the industrial world, the event was also filled with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UIN and IBTS, as well as UIN and MRP Sub Holdings. The MoU aims to encourage innovation and digital transformation in the education sector.

Presenting a number of renowned figures as keynote speakers, it is known that Fithra Faisal, Ph.D., Ismu Hadi, Prof. Dr. Siti Nur Azizah, S.H., M.Hum., Director of Strategy and Business Development of PGN, Rosa Permata Sari, Dr. Sigit Puspito Wigati Jarot, M.Sc., and Muhammad Alif were present.

Furthermore, the panel discussion was filled by experienced panelists from various sectors. The panelists gave their views on strategies and challenges in facing digital transformation in education.

The event was closed by handing over plaques to the speakers and ended with a group photo session, signifying the success of this activity in opening insights and strengthening UIN Jakarta's commitment to digital transformation.
