UIN Jambi Explores Best Practices in PPID and Public Relations at UIN Jakarta
AAKK Bureau, UIN News Online – UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin (STS) Jambi paid a visit to UIN Jakarta on Thursday, (21/11/2024), as part of its benchmarking initiative to strengthen the roles of Information and Documentation Management Officials (PPID) and improve public relations performance.
The delegation from UIN Jambi was warmly welcomed by key officials from UIN Jakarta, including Ahmad Abdullah, S.Ag., M.A.P. (Head of the General Administration and Personnel Bureau), Dr. Sri Ilham Lubis, Lc., M.Pd. (Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Bureau), Drs. Teguh Sarwono, M.Si. (Head of the Planning and Finance Bureau), and Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.A. (Head of the Center for Information and Public Relations).
In her opening remarks, Dr. Sri Ilham Lubis expressed her honor and enthusiasm in hosting the delegation. Reflecting on her own experience as a former Head of General Administration, Planning, and Finance at UIN Jambi, she highlighted the importance of inter-institutional cooperation in advancing public relations efforts.
“This visit is a testament to our shared vision of improving institutional communication. By exchanging knowledge and experiences, we can learn from one another and foster meaningful collaboration for mutual progress,” she stated.
Drs. Helmi, M.Ag., Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, and Collaboration Bureau of UIN STS Jambi, also conveyed his gratitude and optimism regarding the visit. He emphasized the value of learning from UIN Jakarta's best practices in public relations to enhance communication strategies at UIN Jambi.
“We are inspired by the professionalism and innovation displayed by UIN Jakarta’s public relations team. This visit provides us with practical insights that we hope to implement to strengthen our own public relations operations,” he said.
The highlight of the visit was an in-depth presentation by Zaenal Muttaqin, M.A., Head of UIN Jakarta’s Information and Public Relations Center. He shared a comprehensive overview of the department’s workflows, covering content production, publication strategies, and inter-departmental coordination. Zaenal also provided a historical perspective on the development of UIN Jakarta’s public relations framework, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and strategic planning.
“Success in public relations is built on collaboration and synergy. By fostering strong partnerships internally and externally, we can achieve impactful and effective communication,” Zaenal remarked.
The visit continued with a tour of UIN Jakarta’s public relations facilities, offering the UIN Jambi delegation a firsthand look at the operational aspects of the department. Stops included the production room, information center, and podcast studio, showcasing a modern and structured approach to public relations management.
The benchmarking initiative was met with enthusiasm by both parties, with UIN Jambi expressing admiration for the professionalism and insights shared by UIN Jakarta. This visit serves as a stepping stone for further collaboration between the two institutions, highlighting their commitment to excellence in public relations and institutional communication.
