UIN Jakarta Sends 16 Agribusiness Students for Japan Internships
Jakarta, UIN Online News – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting educational internationalization and student competency development. One tangible manifestation of this commitment is the dispatch of 16 Agribusiness students from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) to participate in international internship programs at several companies in Japan.
The 16 students were placed at three different agricultural companies: T.G.F Co., Ltd., Fujitake Shouten, and JA Nakashibetsu. The students were divided into two departure groups in October 2024 and March 2025, according to each company's placement schedule.
Eight students departed in October 2024 for internships at two Japanese companies. Shabicka Ammany Maskur and Mutiara Shaliha were placed at T.G.F Co. Ltd. until March 30, 2025. Meanwhile, Rohayati Arista, Naura Cindy Putri, Ridho Karim Lumban Tobing, Sherina Haura Nabilah, Andhika Fadhli Robby, and Muhammad Rifqi interned at Fujitake Shouten until July 2025.

FST Dean Husni Tedja, Ph.D., stated that this International Internship program serves as a platform for students to expand their global perspective. "It also provides them with direct experience in Japan's advanced and modern agricultural system," he explained.
For reference, T.G.F Co., Ltd., Fujitake Shouten, and JA Nakashibetsu are leading agricultural companies in Japan. T.G.F Co., Ltd. and Fujitake Shouten focus on agricultural production and distribution, while JA Nakashibetsu is Hokkaido's largest agricultural cooperative, supporting farmers through marketing and agricultural technology.
Dean Husni Tedja further emphasized that the participation of these 16 students in the international internship program represents a strategic step for UIN Jakarta in strengthening international collaborations, particularly in agriculture and agribusiness. UIN Jakarta is one of Indonesia's leading State Islamic Universities offering agribusiness education at both undergraduate and master's levels.
