UIN Jakarta Introduces Campus Environment to Students from MA Mathlaul Anwar

Theater Room Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN News Online - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta received a campus introduction visit from Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Mathlaul Anwar Menes, Pandeglang, Banten, Thursday (5/12/24). The visit which took place in the Theater Room at 2nd Floor of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) and attended by 112 students of Class XII is expected to provide comprehensive information about lectures at UIN Jakarta.

The visit was led by the Head of MA Mathlaul Anwar Pusat, Ida Farida M.Pd, accompanied by a number of madrasah teachers located in Menes, Pandeglang, Banten. The visit itself was received directly by Vice Dean III of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation FST Khodijah Hulliyah M.Si Ph.D., Head of General Affairs FST Hj. Faojah M.A., and Head of Information and Public Relations Center Zaenal Muttaqin M.A..

In her speech, Ida Farida revealed that the visit is conducted as part of the introduction of higher education for students who are now in class XII. UIN Jakarta as one of the leading Islamic religious universities is the target of introductory activities for them.

“We, the teachers of MA Mathlaul Anwar Center, hope that this activity can foster the big dreams of students to continue their higher education to superior universities,” she said.

MA Mathlaul Anwar itself, he continued, from year to year continues to encourage students to continue their higher education to various faculties of UIN Jakarta. In the same activity, the student visit was also welcomed and accompanied by MA Mathlaul Anwar alumni who are now studying in various faculties such as the Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Economics and Business, and others.

In her speech and presentation, Vice Dean Khadijah welcomed the visit of the teachers and students of MA Mathlaul Anwar Center. In her speech, she also gave directions to the students to read their potential, and choose a study program that suits their interests.

On the same event, this Informatics Engineering Study Program lecturer was presenting the academic environment and campus of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UIN Jakarta ranging from vision and mission, accreditation, laboratory facilities, to cooperation partners. He also described the various study programs organized by FST.

FST itself, he said, is ready to provide the best academic climate for its students. This is by encouraging lecturers to become learning facilitators for students.

“Lecturers are only facilitators, and students are fully responsible for their decisions. So try to start finding out your own strengths. Because students who are in accordance with their fields, will still be excited to pursue their studies," he suggested.

Meanwhile, Zaenal reminded students who are interested to study at UIN Jakarta to prepare themselves better. This is because the UIN Jakarta entrance selection path will also be opened soon and the number of applicants is also very high.

“Please take the benefit of this visit to explore the profile of lectures at UIN Jakarta,” he said.

Admission to UIN Jakarta itself, he said, will be opened in early 2025. Two of them are the achievement-based PTKIN National Academic Achievement Selection (SPAN PTKIN) and the test-based PTKIN Entrance Exam (UM-PTKIN).

“Especially for SPAN PTKIN, please prepare the madrasah leaders to fill in the student database so that their students can participate in the SPAN PTKIN selection,” he said.

The visit itself was filled with the delivery of lecture material at UIN Jakarta presented by the Public Relations Analyst of UIN Jakarta Information and Public Relations Center, Taufan Maulana Firdaus. The students were very enthusiastic to the course given by the speaker.

The activity was then closed with impressions and messages from MA Mathlaul Anwar alumni who are also students of UIN Jakarta. One of them, Siti Sofiah, expressed her proud to study at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

“I am proud to study at UIN Jakarta and being the part of English Education program. Because English Education is one of the leading study programs from eighteen study programs in FITK,” she said. (Author)
