UIN Jakarta Held an International Conference to Fully Supports Innovation in the Digital World

South Tangerang, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta together with Forward Together held The International Conference on Science and Engineering for Humanity entitled “Innovation for Inclusion: Engineering and Science as Catalysts for Social Change” through the Zoom Meeting platform, Wednesday (4/12/2024). A number of academics and researchers from within and outside the country are scheduled to participate in three discussion sessions of this international conference.

In Plenary Session 1, this international conference presents leading experts and researchers to discuss digital-based innovation in the field of science. Among them was Dr. Alina V. Vladimirova (economic researcher from the Russian Academy of Science) and Dr. Bayu Andalas (environmental expert and bureaucrat in the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Dr. Alina V. Vladimirova in her presentation on Network Analysis explained that network analysis is a very useful method for identifying connection patterns, relationship dynamics, and relational structures hidden in data.

Dr. Alina V. Vladimirova explained that there are thousands of new methods every month, “There are thousands of methods every month, such as methods in discourse analysis, qualitative methods, methods related to physics and social relations. I also want to encourage all of us to learn our own methods to transfer this knowledge to the next generation.”

The second material presented by Dr. Budi Andalas, highlighted the results of his research on the effect of government tourism event funding on hotel occupancy rates in Jakarta in 2024. Furthermore, Dr. Budi Andalas also emphasized the importance of using network analysis methods to understand the interconnections between various factors that affect hotel occupancy rates.

This international conference is a forum for sharing knowledge and opening up new collaboration opportunities that can encourage the birth of more innovative public policies. As emphasized by Dr. Budi Andalas, “The academic community can collaborate to help the community so that they can get a better education and economy,” said Dr. Budi Andalas.

The results of this conference are expected to be a reference for the government and policy makers in designing new programs that have a positive impact on society, such as digital innovation in the health sector in the form of applications to make it easier for people to consult with health workers.

For information, The International Conference on Science and Engineering for Humanity entitled “Innovation for Inclusion: Engineering and Science as Catalysts for Social Change” was held in three sessions throughout Wednesday-Thursday (4-5/12/2024). In the second session, the speakers scheduled to present are Prof. Yuli Rahmawati Ph.D and Munaspriyanto Ramli, Ph.D.

Furthermore, the third session will be attended by: Assoc. Prof. Riad Mansour, Ph.D (University Center of Naama, Algeria), Dr. Artem Bezrukov (Kazan National Research Technological University, Russia), and Assoc. Prof. Ritesh Chugh (Central Queensland University, Australia). The activity itself will be opened directly by the Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar M.A., Ph.D. and hosted directly by the Head of LP2M UIN Jakarta Prof. Amelia Fauzia M.A. Ph.D., and Head of PLKI UIN Jakarta Prof. Maila Dinia Husni Rahiem M.A., Ph.D.
