UIN Jakarta Advances in Public Information Disclosure: A Commitment to Transparency and Sustainability

Jakarta, UIN News Online  – UIN Jakarta has successfully advanced to the public hearing phase of the Public Information Disclosure Monitoring and Evaluation, organized by the Central Information Commission (KIP). Held on Thursday, (14/11/2024), at the Grand Mercure Kemayoran Hotel, Jakarta, this achievement highlights the university's dedication to transparency and its progressive approach to public service.

Out of over 300 public institutions evaluated, only 201 were selected for this critical stage. Among state Islamic universities, UIN Jakarta stands out as one of five institutions qualified for the public hearing phase, alongside UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, UIN Walisongo Semarang, UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, and IAIN Kediri.

Representing UIN Jakarta, Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA, PhD, who also serves as the Head of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID), delivered a compelling presentation on the university’s strategic initiatives. He emphasized UIN Jakarta's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability through its green campus program. "UIN Jakarta is dedicated to fostering environmental awareness and promoting sustainable practices to contribute positively to our planet," Prof. Asep remarked.

The Rector also highlighted the critical role of digital transformation in enhancing public services. "Our digital initiatives are designed to streamline processes and ensure seamless access to information for the public," he explained, underscoring the university's vision of leveraging technology to meet modern needs.

Reaffirming UIN Jakarta’s commitment to public transparency, Prof. Asep stressed the importance of accurate and accessible information. "Transparency is fundamental to building trust. At UIN Jakarta, we are determined to uphold the principles of public information disclosure, ensuring the information we share is both reliable and accessible," he asserted.
