Training Press Release Writing at UIN Jakarta: Drs. Nanang Syaikhu Shares Public Relations Knowledge and Strategies

Uniclub, UIN News Online - Drs. Nanang Syaikhu M.A.P, a Journalism lecturer at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM), is sharing his knowledge about writing press releases to representatives of the Branch Information Center (PIC) of UIN Jakarta Faculty and Institution Public Relations in the Uniclub Room, Friday (6/9/2024).

With a warm and enthusiastic tone, Nanang started his training session by emphasizing the importance of covering various events. “Public Relations is a forum for channeling various information that occurs within the campus and journalism is its core,” he said.

The material presented by Nanang, titled “Creating Press Releases and Media Relations Strategies,” was designed to equip participants with practical skills in creating and disseminating information. Through this training, Nanang hopes that each institution at UIN Jakarta can strengthen collaboration and synergy in disseminating relevant news to the public.

In his presentation, Nanang discussed various aspects of creating press releases, from basic definitions to writing techniques. He introduced two main methods of producing press releases: news projecting and news hunting. News projecting, according to Nanang, involves creating news from pre-planned activities. News hunting, on the other hand, requires direct field research to find news worth covering.

“At UIN Jakarta, almost all activities are positive. Let's help spread the information through various channels, both online and print,” Nanang said with confidence.

This training not only provides new insights but also fosters the spirit to disseminate useful information. With the knowledge provided, it is expected that each institution will be more prepared and skilled in conveying their messages to the public, strengthening the image and communication of UIN Jakarta campus in the future.
