Press Release: UIN Jakarta to Hold 136th Graduation Ceremony with a Total of 1114 Graduates
Rectorate Building, UIN Online News — Reaffirming the prospective graduates of Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral programs, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta will hold the 136th Open Senate Graduation Ceremony on Saturday–Sunday, (24-25/05/2025).
Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., emphasized that this graduation ceremony is not just a formality, but a form of appreciation for the students' academic struggles and the campus's commitment to producing an outstanding generation.
“Graduation is a very important moment in the academic journey of students. This is not only about completing studies, but also about the readiness of graduates to be present and actively contribute to nation-building, especially towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.
In line with this, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A., also stated that this graduation marks the beginning of the graduates' responsibility as part of the intellectual community.
“Graduation becomes an important momentum for graduates to start their new roles as agents of change. With the spirit of sustainability carried in the theme of this graduation, we hope that the alumni can contribute nyata in realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.
Carrying the theme "UIN Jakarta Alumni: Pioneers of Sustainable Change Towards Golden Indonesia 2045," the graduation procession will be attended by 1114 participants from various faculties. On Saturday, a number of prospective graduates include those from various faculties; Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Sciences (FITK) with 236 people, Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) 158 people, Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah (FDI) 37 people, Faculty of Psychology (FPSI) 45 people, Graduate School (SPs) 33 people, and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) with 60 people.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, the graduates will be from the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) with 104 people, Faculty of Ushuluddin (FU) 80 people, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) 121 people, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) 116 people, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) 15 people, Faculty of Medicine (FK) 4 people, and Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIK) with 105 people.
To support the smooth execution of the procession, the prospective graduates have attended a dress rehearsal held on Thursday, (22/05/2025), at the Harun Nasution Auditorium. This rehearsal is an important part of ensuring that all stages of the event run orderly and solemnly on the day of the graduation.
