New Students of UIN Jakarta Start Their Academic Journey with Enthusiasm

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – A spirited welcome greeted 1,261 new students from the Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) and the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at UIN Jakarta as they participated in the second session of the Introduction to Academic and Campus Culture (PBAK) on Tuesday (August 27, 2024) at the Harun Nasution Auditorium. The event marked a pivotal moment for these students as they began to immerse themselves in their new academic environment.

Harisil Fadil, a newly enrolled student in Comparative Schools of Islamic Jurisprudence, shared his deep gratitude for being accepted into UIN Jakarta, a goal he had long aspired to achieve. "When I received the acceptance, I felt immense gratitude and pride. I owe this to my parents' prayers, which are the real strength behind my success in entering UIN Jakarta," he expressed.

Harisil’s choice to attend UIN Jakarta was driven by the university’s esteemed reputation, recognizing that many of its graduates have gone on to become influential figures in society. He hopes that his educational journey will be smooth and successful. "I aspire to be among those distinguished alumni," he added.

Similarly, Nisrina Raida, a new student in the Faculty of Medicine, echoed her excitement about joining UIN Jakarta. Although initially daunted by the diversity of her new environment, with peers coming from various cultural backgrounds, she is making a conscious effort to adapt. "It’s essential to embrace this diversity to form meaningful connections," she noted.

Nisrina also found the 2024 PBAK program highly engaging, praising the presentations delivered by inspirational and informative speakers. "I gained a lot of new insights that are crucial for my journey ahead," she concluded.

The PBAK program, spanning two days and offered in both offline and hybrid formats, is themed “The First 100 Days at UIN Jakarta” and runs from August 27 to November 23, 2024. This initiative aims to provide a strong foundation for new students to forge relationships and smoothly transition into academic life at UIN Jakarta.
