MoU Signing of Partnership between UIN Jakarta and the Embassy of Iran

Main Conference Room, UIN News Online — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully hosted the "Collaboration Talk UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and The Ambassador of Iran to Indonesia, The Director General of the Iranian Ministry of Science and Technology, along with the leaders of 12 Iranian Universities." The event was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ambassador of Iran to Indonesia, the Director General of the Iranian Ministry of Science and Technology, and leaders from 12 prominent Iranian universities, held in the Main Conference Room on Thursday (29/8/2024).

The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Cooperation, Din Wahid, M.A., Ph.D., the Head of the Research and Community Service Institute (LP2M), Prof. Amelia Fauzia, Ph.D., the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr. Mohammad Boroujerdi, and several Deans of UIN Jakarta who expressed their delight at this collaboration.

In his speech, Dr. Mohammad Boroujerdi expressed his respect and enthusiasm for the opportunity to learn from the various sciences, teaching methods, and facilities at Iranian universities. He also emphasized the importance of knowledge sharing between Iranian campuses and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to achieve the goal of advancing knowledge for the global community.

"I am very pleased and excited to attend this collaboration event with UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. I hold this collaboration in high regard and am happy because it is hoped that this will foster a good partnership with UIN Syarif Hidayatullah and advance knowledge," stated Dr. Mohammad Boroujerdi.

Also present at the event were the Cultural Counselor of the Iranian Embassy, Dr. Mohammad Reza Ebrahimi, the Cultural Manager of Student Affairs, Dr. Soranjechi, the Rector of Islamic Azad University, Karaj Branch, Dr. Hossein Kalantari Khalil Abad, and several other Iranian academic figures representing the 12 Iranian universities that will collaborate with UIN Jakarta.

The event began with a presentation from UIN Jakarta outlining its vision, mission, and potential areas for collaboration. Following this, each of the Iranian universities provided presentations on their institutions, highlighting opportunities for cooperation in education, research, and knowledge development, particularly in the fields of religion and technology.

UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta warmly welcomed this initiative, believing that this collaboration will strengthen ties between institutions and countries and contribute to the advancement of knowledge, particularly in religious studies, for the benefit of the wider community.

The event also introduced the universities ready to collaborate with UIN Jakarta, reinforcing the shared commitment to exploring and developing knowledge across various fields through mutually beneficial cooperation.
