Five UIN Jakarta Lecturers Ascend to Professorship, Enhancing Academic Prestige
Rectorate, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta has celebrated a monumental achievement by elevating five of its academics to the rank of professor. This not only boosts the number of professors within the institution but also reinforces UIN Jakarta's status as the National Islamic Religious College (PTKIN) with the highest professor count in Indonesia, as of Thursday, December 12, 2024. This event underscores UIN Jakarta's dedication to enhancing academic excellence and fostering intellectual leadership in higher education, marking the dawn of a new era of innovation and learning.
The New Professors are Dr. Endah Wulandari, S.Si., M.Biomed from the Medical Education program, who earned her doctorate from the University of Indonesia in 2016 and has 20 publications, including the internationally recognized "Innovative Hematology Analysis Using Menstrual Blood"; Prof. dr. Flori Ratna Sari, Ph.D., also from Medical Education at the Faculty of Medicine, graduated from Niigata University of Pharmacy and Applied Life Sciences in 2012 with 68 publications; Prof. Irma Nurbaeti, S.Kp., M.Kes., Sp.Mat., Ph.D., a lecturer in the Ners program, completed her doctoral studies at Burapha University in 2017 with 14 publications; Dr. La Ode Sumarlin, M.Si., teaching in the Chemistry program, graduated from Bogor Agricultural University in 2017, having conducted two research projects and published 21 works; and Prof. Dr. Suma'inna, M.Si., from the Mathematics program, who received her doctoral degree from Waseda University in 2019, contributing 25 publications to the academic community.
With these appointments, UIN Jakarta now boasts 143 professors, highlighting its position as a leading Islamic university in Indonesia. This achievement not only reflects a faculty rich in both religious and scientific expertise but also positions UIN Jakarta as a hub for intellectual development. This elevation in academic staff will lead to new courses, enhanced research opportunities, and an uplift in the university's national and international rankings.
