Enhancing Staff Capacity, PLKI UIN Jakarta Sends 10 Participants for On-Job Training to Universiti Putra Malaysia
Main Conference Room, UIN News Online — UIN Jakarta International Cooperation Service Center (PLKI) held a briefing as well as the release of on-job training participants in the capacity building program of UIN Jakarta education personnel to Universiti Putra Malaysia in the Main Conference Room, Rectorate Building, on Thursday (19/9/24). UIN Jakarta sent 10 educators from various bureaus such as Student Affairs, Academic, Administration and others.
Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D, explained that structurally, UIN Jakarta has not conducted direct training to build work culture. However, the preparation of educators who will be sent to UPM remains a priority. Prof. Asep emphasized the importance of maintaining the attitude, speech, and culture of Indonesia while abroad, as part of the representation of UIN Jakarta in the international arena.
Furthermore, Prof. Asep emphasized that in addition to maintaining personality and mentality, it is also important for educators to build good communication, both among fellow participants and with UIN Jakarta remotely. By maintaining harmonious communication and strong intentions, educators are expected to contribute maximally to the quality development of UIN Jakarta through their international experience at UPM.
“With the on-job training for UIN Jakarta educators, it is expected that the participants who will leave later can get lessons and teachings that can be implemented directly at UIN Jakarta,” explained the Rector of UIN Jakarta.
On another occasion, Vice Rector for General Administration, Prof. Imam Subchi, M.A., reminded the educators and participants who will be sent to Malaysia about the importance of maintaining attitude and culture while there. He emphasized that a professional attitude must always be shown, especially when interacting with the international community.
According to him, maintaining personality and ethics is key to building good relationships and avoiding unnecessary conflicts while serving abroad. “We must maintain our attitude, culture, and not be easily provoked by negative things while in Malaysia. Remember, we carry the good name of UIN Jakarta and Indonesia,” said Prof. Imam.
This briefing was led directly by the Head of the International Cooperation Service Center, Prof. Maila Dinia, M.A., Ph.D., who explained the flow of departure to the process of working at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
