Empowering Future Leaders, the Rector of UIN Jakarta Urges Graduates to Foster a Resilient Indonesia

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta celebrated the success of its graduates in the 133rd Open Senate Session for Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral Programs on Saturday, August 24, 2024. The event marked a significant milestone for the graduates, who have overcome numerous challenges to earn their academic degrees.

In his keynote address, UIN Jakarta Rector, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., warmly congratulated the graduates, emphasizing the importance of the event’s theme: “Strengthening the Resilient Generation for the Future of Indonesia.” Prof. Asep highlighted that this theme is more than just a slogan; it is a directive for graduates to become resilient scholars and actively contribute to the nation's development.

“Your role as scholars is to be resilient and to help build this country with critical thinking and innovative solutions,” Asep stated, encouraging the graduates to continue their journey of intellectual growth and societal contribution.

The Rector also acknowledged the challenges the graduates faced to reach this point, noting that their perseverance through financial, time, and personal hardships has forged them into stronger individuals. Prof. Asep expressed pride in their accomplishments, stressing that their commitment is crucial not only for personal transformation but also for uplifting their families and society as a whole.

However, Rector Asep reminded the graduates that this milestone is just the beginning. “Graduation is merely the start of your real-life journey,” he said, urging them to remain lifelong learners and continue evolving in their personal and professional lives.
