Bank Muamalat Sent Operational Buses to Support UIN Jakarta Students Mobility and Education Services
Main Courtroom, UIN News Online - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta received a grant in the form of one unit of operational bus from Bank Muamalat Indonesia. The symbolic handover was carried out in the Harun Nasution Auditorium courtyard on Tuesday (3/11/2024). This cooperation is a form of synergy between higher education institutions and Islamic financial institutions in supporting the progress of Islamic education. The handover was attended by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Cooperation Din Wahid, M.A., Ph.D., SEVP Retail Banking of Bank Muamalat Dedy Suryadi Dharmawan and the board of directors.
In his remarks, Rector Asep Saepudin Jahar expressed his gratitude to Bank Muamalat for the grant which is very useful for campus mobility and services to students. “We really appreciate the support of Bank Muamalat in advancing educational services at UIN Jakarta. This operational bus will be used to support various academic and non-academic activities, including the mobility of students, lecturers, and staff,” he said.
The Rector also explained that this grant is part of Bank Muamalat's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program which focuses on the development of Islamic education. "Collaboration between the sharia financial sector and Islamic educational institutions is a strategic step to build a young generation that is competent, moral, and has a major contribution to the nation," he said.
Meanwhile, SEVP Retail Banking of Bank Muamalat Dedy Suryadi Dharmawan expressed his gratitude for the increasingly strengthened cooperation with UIN Jakarta.
“This cooperation is in line with our mission, one of which is to provide support for UIN Jakarta's academic development roadmap,” he explained. Dedy hopes that this cooperation can run well because UIN Jakarta is considered to be part of the big family of Bank Muamalat.
“We are also grateful to have been given the opportunity and trust in financial management at UIN Jakarta,” he added.
The symbolic handover of this operational bus is a good step in realizing the Green Campus effort which is the current vision of UIN Jakarta. The operational bus is equipped with modern facilities that support passenger comfort and safety. With adequate capacity, these buses are planned to be used for internal campus transportation, field activities, and student study visits. (PIH)
