Dr. Shariq Siddiqui merupakan pakar filantropi terkemuka yang menjabat sebagai Direktur Muslim Philanthropy Initiative (MPI) sekaligus Asisten Profesor di Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Indiana University. Kepakaran beliau didukung oleh latar belakang pendidikan multidisiplin yang kokoh, mencakup gelar PhD dalam Studi Filantropi (2014) serta gelar Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) dari Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Sebelum memimpin MPI, beliau menorehkan prestasi signifikan sebagai Direktur Eksekutif ARNOVA (2013-2019), di mana beliau berhasil mentransformasi organisasi melalui ekspansi internasional di Afrika dan Tiongkok serta pertumbuhan keanggotaan hingga 50%. Selain itu, beliau aktif sebagai co-editor Journal on Muslim Philanthropy and Civil Society serta instruktur pelatihan eksekutif bagi para pemimpin organisasi nirlaba di Amerika Serikat dan Arab Saudi.

Kontribusi riset Dr. Siddiqui berfokus pada dinamika masyarakat sipil Muslim, tata kelola zakat, serta isu keadilan dan inklusi di sektor filantropi. Keunggulan intelektualnya diakui melalui berbagai penghargaan bergengsi, seperti Virginia Hodgkinson Book Prize tahun 2020 untuk karyanya yang membahas evolusi institusi nirlaba Muslim di Amerika Serikat. Melalui publikasi terbaru di tahun 2024 seperti Understanding Muslim Philanthropy dan riset mendalam mengenai potensi ekonomi zakat, beliau mempromosikan visi "Zakat Reimagined" yang mengedepankan transparansi serta akuntabilitas institusi. Kiprahnya kini menjangkau Indonesia secara aktif, di mana beliau menjadi pembicara kunci dalam forum akademik di Universitas Indonesia (ICBMR 2025) dan inisiatif inovasi sosial NAMA Summit, memperkuat jembatan kolaborasi antara riset filantropi global dengan praktik pemberdayaan masyarakat di negara-negara mayoritas Muslim.
