Ian Buchanan adalah Profesor Teori Kritis dan Kajian Budaya di University of Wollongong, Australia, yang diakui secara internasional sebagai otoritas utama dalam pemikiran filsuf Gilles Deleuze dan Félix Guattari. Reputasi akademisnya dibangun melalui kontribusi mendalamnya terhadap filsafat kontemporer, salah satunya dengan mendirikan jurnal akademik bergengsi Deleuze and Guattari Studies yang menjadi wadah utama diskusi bidang tersebut.
