Bilveer Singh merupakan akademisi senior dan pakar hubungan internasional terkemuka di Departemen Ilmu Politik, National University of Singapore (NUS), di mana ia juga mengemban amanah sebagai Deputy Head of Department. Dengan latar belakang pendidikan Master dan Doktor dari Australian National University, beliau diakui secara internasional sebagai spesialis dalam bidang politik perbandingan, keamanan Asia Tenggara, dan studi terorisme. Selain kiprahnya di NUS, beliau menjabat sebagai Senior Fellow di S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) dan merupakan Presiden dari Political Science Association Singapura, yang memposisikannya sebagai tokoh kunci dalam perumusan diskursus keamanan nasional dan regional.
Sebagai penulis yang sangat produktif, kontribusi intelektualnya mencakup spektrum yang luas, mulai dari analisis mendalam mengenai dinamika kekuasaan di Indonesia dalam buku seperti PILPRES 2024: Indonesia di Bawah Prabowo-Gibran hingga riset kolaboratif global yang diterbitkan di jurnal The Lancet. Memasuki tahun 2025 dan 2026, beliau tetap aktif memperkuat kerja sama akademik di kawasan dengan menjadi dosen tamu di berbagai universitas besar di Indonesia, sering kali membahas mengenai pragmatisme politik Singapura dan sejarah konstruksi politik Indonesia. Keterlibatannya dalam berbagai forum kebijakan dan riset lintas disiplin menunjukkan perannya sebagai jembatan penting antara akademisi, pengambil kebijakan, dan publik dalam memahami kompleksitas geopolitik di Asia Tenggara.
