UIN Jakarta Honors 797 Graduates on Second Day of 133rd Graduation Ceremony
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta held the second day of its 133rd graduation ceremony on Sunday, (08/25/2024), at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, where 797 students received their degrees across various academic levels.
The ceremony began with a speech from Prof. Dr. Masri Mansoer, M.Ag., the Secretary of the Senate, who emphasized the significance of the graduation theme, “Strengthening the Resilient Generation to Build Indonesia.” He encouraged the graduates to apply their knowledge and skills to benefit both themselves and the broader community.
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, S.Ag., SH, MA, MH, read the Rector’s Decree on graduation, recognizing the top-performing graduates at each academic level:
Doctoral (S3) degree: Meinarini Catur Utami, Islamic Studies Doctoral Program (GPA 3.79), Master’s (S2) degree: Andi Fakhrullah, Master of Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Program (GPA 4.0) and Nur'aini, Master of Psychology Study Program (GPA 4.0), and Bachelor’s (S1) Level: Maulida Pitriyah, Faculty of Adab Humanities (GPA 3.97); Muhammad Alfarizi Firdaus, Faculty of Sharia and Law (GPA 3.95); Pramilania Oktavia, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (GPA 3.98); Sabila Qotrunnada, Faculty of Psychology (GPA 3.97); Yogi Saputra, Faculty of Economics and Business (GPA 3.97); and Muhammad Naufal Latief, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (GPA 3.97).
For the best thesis awards: Social Science Category: Muhammad Naufal Latief, Sociology Study Program, for his thesis titled “Rational Choice of Youth in Berkhidmah to Habib (Case Study of Istana Assegaf Majelis Nurul Musthofa Jakarta).”, and for Humanities/Islamic Studies Category: Abel Parvez, Law Study Program, for his thesis “Establishment of Age Discrimination Legislation in National Labor Law as Protection of Labor.”
Pramilania Oktavia, the top graduate from the Faculty of Da'wah & Communication Sciences, delivered a valedictory speech, urging her fellow graduates to unite in building a prosperous Indonesia by 2045. “Today marks the beginning of our journey, not the end,” she affirmed.
UIN Jakarta’s Rector, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., expressed his pride in the achievements of the 797 graduates. “You represent a generation characterized by critical thinking, intellect, and resilience, all of which have been cultivated here at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta,” he remarked.
The event concluded with the formal inauguration of the graduates, symbolizing the birth of a new generation of scholars ready to contribute positively to the nation and the world.
